CITY ISSUES INT€™L DRIVER€™S LICENSES THURSDAY
Such licenses will be granted to Vietnamese citizens and foreigners whose have residence permits in Vietnam and valid driver’s licenses issued by competent agencies for use in this country.
Foreign applicants should submit an application for an international driver’s license, and copies of valid driver’s license, passport, and residence card.
The international license will be issued for the applicant five days after authorities get all the required documents. The fee is VND135,000 (US$6.27).
To save time, applicants are advised to call (08) 1081 to book a time slot for carrying out necessary procedures at 252 Ly Chinh Thang Street, Ward 9, District 3.

Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Vietnam Shantanu Chakraborty has expressed his impression of the Southeast Asian nation’s economic growth of 6.4 per cent in the first half of this year. The growth was mainly driven by strong trade recovery, where export grew by 14.5 per cent and import by 17 per cent over last year, he told the Vietnam News Agency. However, he said, the domestic segment remained sluggish.
